PAL VOLUNTEER CLEARANCES INCLUDE CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK (PA STATE POLICE) AND CHILD ABUSE HISTORY (PA DEPT. OF HUMAN SERVICES).
PAL Norwin has adopted a policy regarding designated coaches and/or volunteers to provide background checks from the Pennsylvania State Police (criminal background check) and the Department of Public Welfare (child abuse history form) in order to be eligible to coach and/or volunteer in the youth sports activities.
All head coaches, assistant coaches and/or other volunteers (excluding concession duty) must have a criminal and child abuse background clearance completed prior to their being accepted as PAL coaches/volunteers. These background checks are provided for free by the state of Pennsylvania. Please use the below links to complete the background checks prior to the season. Be sure you indicate that you are a non-profit volunteer and for the organization input "Norwin PAL." Your completed background checks will need to be provided to the PAL Norwin Secretary ([email protected]).
